Featuring 28 physical cores and 56 processing threads, it is designed for demanding multi-threaded workloads such as virtualization, cloud computing, database servers, enterprise applications and high-performance computing.
The Xeon Platinum 8173M operates at a 2.00GHz base frequency with Turbo frequencies reaching up to approximately 3.50GHz. It includes 38.5MB of L3 cache, uses the FCLGA3647 socket and has a 165W TDP.
With 28 physical processor cores and Intel Hyper-Threading Technology providing 56 processing threads, the Platinum 8173M provides substantial parallel computing capability for workloads that can take advantage of large numbers of CPU cores.
