Supports DDR4-2400 ECC memory, dual-socket configurations and 40 PCIe 3.0 lanes. Ideal for database servers, virtualization, enterprise applications and high-performance LGA2011-3 workstations.
Final pricing may vary by configuration, quantity, delivery and project requirements.
Connected infrastructure engineered for speed and resilience.
The Intel Xeon E5-2667 v4 is a high-frequency enterprise server and workstation processor from the Xeon E5-2600 v4 family. Based on Intel's Broadwell-EP 14nm architecture, it is designed for workloads that benefit from strong per-core performance while retaining enterprise features such as dual-socket support, ECC memory and large DDR4 memory capacity.
Featuring 8 cores and 16 threads, a high 3.20GHz base frequency, up to 3.60GHz maximum Turbo frequency and 25MB Intel Smart Cache, the E5-2667 v4 is particularly suitable for database, virtualization, application-server, engineering and workstation workloads where clock speed is important.
Intel Hyper-Threading Technology allows the eight physical cores to process up to 16 threads simultaneously, providing a balance between multi-threaded performance and high per-core frequency.
One of the key advantages of the E5-2667 v4 is its 3.20GHz base clock. This is considerably higher than many higher-core-count E5-2600 v4 processors, making the CPU attractive for workloads that depend heavily on individual-core performance.
Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 allows processor frequency to increase up to 3.60GHz when workload, power and thermal conditions permit.
The processor incorporates 25MB of Intel Smart Cache, providing fast access to frequently used data across the processor cores.
The Xeon E5-2667 v4 supports DDR4-1600, DDR4-1866, DDR4-2133 and DDR4-2400 memory through four memory channels. ECC memory is supported when used with a compatible enterprise server or workstation platform.
Intel specifies support for up to 1.5TB of memory, subject to motherboard, DIMM type and system configuration.
The E5-2667 v4 supports configurations with up to two processors. Two matching CPUs can therefore be installed in compatible dual-socket enterprise servers to provide a total of 16 physical cores and 32 processing threads.
The processor provides up to 40 PCI Express 3.0 lanes, supporting high-bandwidth expansion devices such as enterprise network adapters, RAID controllers, NVMe adapters, GPUs and other PCIe devices.
The Xeon E5-2667 v4 uses the FCLGA2011-3 socket and is intended for compatible Intel C612-based server and workstation platforms. BIOS support for Broadwell-EP / Xeon E5 v4 processors is required.
The processor has a 135W TDP. A compatible heatsink and adequate server or workstation cooling solution are required, particularly because this is a relatively high-frequency E5 v4 processor.

Compared with many Xeon E5-2600 v4 processors designed primarily to maximize core count, the E5-2667 v4 emphasizes higher operating frequency. Its combination of 8 cores, 16 threads and a 3.20GHz base clock makes it an attractive choice for workloads where software performance depends more heavily on CPU frequency and per-core performance.
