Connected infrastructure engineered for speed and resilience.
The Intel SSD DC S3510 1.6TB is an enterprise-class solid state drive designed for data centers, servers, virtualization, databases, cloud infrastructure, hosting and read-intensive enterprise storage applications.
Featuring a large 1.6TB capacity, 2.5-inch form factor, SATA 6Gb/s interface and Intel 16nm MLC NAND, the DC S3510 provides dependable solid-state storage with enterprise features including enhanced power-loss data protection, end-to-end data protection and AES 256-bit hardware encryption.
With 1.6TB of solid-state capacity, the S3510 provides ample storage for virtual machines, databases, applications, operating systems and enterprise data while delivering significantly lower access latency than traditional mechanical hard drives.
The Intel DC S3510 uses the SATA Revision 3.0 interface with support for SATA 6Gb/s connectivity. This makes it suitable for a wide range of compatible enterprise servers, storage systems, RAID controllers and workstations.
The S3510 series uses Intel 16nm Standard Endurance Technology Multi-Level Cell (MLC) NAND Flash. It was developed specifically for enterprise and data-center applications requiring consistent storage performance and dependable operation.
The 1.6TB S3510 delivers sequential read performance of up to approximately 500MB/s and sequential write performance of up to approximately 430MB/s, providing responsive performance for server applications and read-intensive workloads.
The 1.6TB model can deliver approximately 65,000 random 4KB read IOPS and 15,200 random 4KB write IOPS, making it suitable for virtualization, databases, application servers and other workloads involving frequent small-block access.
The Intel DC S3510 1.6TB is rated for 880 terabytes written (TBW). Intel specifies the S3510 family for approximately 0.3 drive writes per day over five years under its defined enterprise workload.
Enhanced power-loss data protection helps protect data during unexpected power interruptions. This enterprise-oriented feature makes the S3510 more appropriate for server and data-center applications than ordinary consumer SATA SSDs.
The S3510 incorporates end-to-end data protection designed to help maintain data integrity as information moves through the SSD's internal data path.
The Intel DC S3510 series supports AES 256-bit hardware encryption for additional data-security capability in compatible enterprise environments.
