The PowerEdge R760xs supports up to two Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Dell supports compatible 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 32 cores per processor and 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 28 cores per processor.

This dual-socket architecture provides substantial processing capability for virtualization, databases, cloud services, enterprise applications and multi-threaded workloads.

16 DDR5 DIMM Slots

The R760xs provides 16 DDR5 DIMM slots and uses registered ECC DDR5 server memory. Memory speed and maximum supported capacity depend on processor generation, DIMM capacity and memory population configuration.

Compared with previous-generation DDR4 PowerEdge platforms, the DDR5 architecture provides significantly higher memory bandwidth for modern enterprise workloads.

Intel C741 Platform
